Final Reminders for the 2018 Assaults on Mt. Mitchell & Marion presented by Greenville Health System.

We look forward to welcoming you to Spartanburg this weekend! Packet Pickup & Expo is taking place at the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium (385 N. Church Street, Spartanburg) this Sunday, May 13, beginning at 1:00 pm. If you cannot pick up your packet Sunday you may do so Monday morning between 5:45am-6:15.

If you are no longer riding and received this email, apologies, we are still working to remove riders from the final rider list.

Finish times will populate to this link at approximately 6:30-7pm or as soon as we can get wifi as we leave the summit.

All roads on the course are OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. There will be police/monitors at intersections but it is imperative that riders respect all road users and place the highest priority on safety. Ultimately the safety of the ride depends on the behavior of the riders themselves. Please review the attached safety guide and don’t forget a headlight (needed for tunnels)!

Quick Links

Information about the rides, a spectator’s guideevent policiesFAQthe Cue Sheet and more are also available on our websiteClick here for the Ride with GPS link. Please pay close attention to the event policies as a light is REQUIRED due to unlit tunnels. Many of these policies are dictated to us from the Parkway and Mitchell State Park and riders MUST adhere to them. Please note, while we take as many precautions as possible to ensure your safety on the course, be aware the course is an open road with no road closures only police presence at large intersections and turns. The ride goes through many different areas including residential and state parks so cyclists are exposed to outside elements. Please stay aware of your surroundings.
